  • Audio to Video sync-Tools

What procedurals are proven to sync audio with picture? I heard of apps, that compare the audio of sound-files and picture to sync it that way. Anyone experience with it?
And when I use AudioTC (on EX-1 for example), how is the workflow to have video and bwf-files together in FCP?
Here some apps, that seems to do what I'm looking for:

    TITAN [URL="http://www.synchroarts.com/index.php?PAGEID=products&ID=titan"]

    Thanks for any comments.

While I don't have much experience with syncing files in FCP, I have heard very good things about PluralEyes. That said, PluralEyes is made for files that don;t have timecode sync. If your Video and Audio has matching timecode, read up on the merge function built in to FCP.

Found another little helper (and interesting company) , not that expensive as TITAN software:
      http://www.videotoolshed.com/product...p-auxtc-reader

It's made to work with non TC-machines as EX-1 or Canon 5D, using a TC on the audio
      track.

      Any experiences around with that?

This tool has nothing to do with Titan. It does something completely different. Itīs not an alternative for Titan. Titan autoconforms original files to EDLs.
The plug-in you mention is a substitute for the "read audio TC" feature of the AVID that FC"P" doesnīt do.

          Re: Audio to Video sync-Tools

Just found another tool that just syncs audio and video with same TC
          http://assistedediting.intelligentas...m/Sync-N-Link/

Looks good, just more expensive compared to FCauxTC-Reader.

Hi there. I find your setup is really interesting. Would you mind to explain me how did you send AudioTC from the SD744T to the audio input of the Sony EX-1? Which cables, which connectors, which levels... I would really aprecieate.

            Thanks Coco

AudioTC is always done with Ambient Lockit (in my case the ALL, but it isn't produced anymore. Now its called Tiny Lockit http://www.ambient.de/produkte/ambie...ny-lockit.html). So my 788 has a lockit built in, and the external piece like the tiny lockit gives the TC to the Audio input of the camera and stays there.
